Licensing & Partnership Inquiries
A NOTE ON THIS PAGE
The Seventh Atelier is an original intellectual property universe created and owned by Kohout Enterprise. This page exists for one purpose: to provide a clear, professional point of contact for organizations and individuals who wish to explore formal licensing or partnership arrangements involving our intellectual property.
We are selective. We are not in a hurry. And we are genuinely interested in the right conversations.
THE IP UNIVERSE
The following elements constitute the protectable intellectual property of The Seventh Atelier and are covered under our Intellectual Property & Copyright Edict:
- Characters: Professor Eldrin Nightshade, Mortimer (the scholarly mouse), Ragnar (the raccoon), and all associated characters within the Atelier universe
- World & Lore: The Seventh Atelier universe, its history, locations, factions, and narrative canon
- Content: The Herbarium, The Forbidden Catalogue, The Alchemist Letters, and all original written works published under The Seventh Atelier brand
- Brand Identity: The Seventh Atelier name, visual identity, product naming conventions, and associated trade dress
- Product IP: Original product names, lore designations (Excavation Series, Specimen classifications, etc.), and associated storytelling frameworks
PARTNERSHIP CATEGORIES WE CONSIDER
We evaluate licensing and partnership inquiries across the following categories. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive — if your proposal does not fit neatly into a category below but you believe it represents a genuine fit, we encourage you to reach out regardless.
- Publishing & Literary: Novel adaptations, illustrated editions, anthologies, or co-authored works set within the Atelier universe
- Games & Tabletop: Tabletop RPG sourcebooks, card games, board games, or digital game adaptations featuring Atelier characters or lore
- Merchandise & Collectibles: Physical goods bearing Atelier characters, artwork, or world elements — including apparel, art prints, figurines, and collectible items
- Food & Beverage: Co-branded or licensed product lines from established producers in the tea, coffee, or specialty food space
- Media & Adaptation: Film, television, podcast, or animation adaptations of the Atelier universe or its characters
- Educational & Institutional: Use of Atelier content in educational contexts, museum exhibitions, or cultural programming
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A PARTNER
We are not interested in volume. We are interested in fit. A strong licensing partner for The Seventh Atelier is one who:
- Understands and respects the tone, voice, and world-building integrity of the Atelier universe
- Has an established track record in their category
- Approaches the conversation as a genuine collaboration, not a transaction
- Is prepared to work within a framework that protects the long-term value of the IP
We review every inquiry personally. We do not work with intermediaries at the initial inquiry stage.
WHAT IS NOT AVAILABLE
To be unambiguous on the following points:
- Unlicensed commercial use of any Atelier IP — including characters, names, lore, and written content — is not permitted under any circumstances
- Fan-made commercial products (sold or monetised in any form) are not authorised without a formal agreement
- AI training use of Atelier content is not permitted
- Sublicensing of any granted rights without prior written approval is not permitted
If you are uncertain whether a proposed use requires a license, the answer is almost certainly yes. Please inquire before proceeding.
HOW TO SUBMIT AN INQUIRY
We review licensing inquiries on a rolling basis. To submit an inquiry, please use the form below and include the following in your message:
- Your organisation and role — who you are and what you do
- The category of partnership — which of the categories above best describes your proposal
- A brief description of the proposed use — what you have in mind, in plain terms
- Your timeline — when you are hoping to move forward
- Any relevant credentials or prior work — optional, but helpful
Incomplete inquiries or inquiries that do not include the above information may not receive a response.
RESPONSE & PROCESS
We aim to acknowledge all inquiries within 10 business days. An acknowledgement is not an indication of interest — it is confirmation that your inquiry has been received and is under review.
If we wish to proceed to a conversation, we will reach out directly to arrange a call or correspondence. All formal discussions are conducted under a mutual non-disclosure agreement prior to the exchange of any confidential information.
Submission of an inquiry does not constitute any agreement, implied or otherwise, regarding the availability of licensing rights or the terms under which they might be granted.
The Seventh Atelier intellectual property is owned by Kohout Enterprise. All rights reserved. Unauthorised use of any element of the Atelier universe is a violation of applicable intellectual property law and will be treated accordingly.
